Who We Are
Herencia de Goa is a Goan group founded by Romeo Jack Barbosa. The group brings you the best of music and dance while supporting the Goan Heritage and Legacy and promoting and supporting Goan youth to push limits in education and leadership.
How are we different from other Goan events?
1) Romeo has attended a lot of dance events and after talking to fellow dancers realized that most events play only one or two types of music genres either Jive or a little bit of cha cha. Sometimes there is not even Waltz played at these Goan events. There are a lot of great Goan Dancers who would like to try out even more variety of dances. The events brought to by Herencia de Goa will have:
East Coast Swing –Single, Triple (Jive), Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba, Salsa, Bachatta, Kizomba, Merengue, West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz (regular and Viennese), Tango, line dancing and free dancing.
This is our promise to you. No repeats of songs and no repeats of Genre of music.
2) Any proceeds from the shows will be given to either a school in Goa and or a scholarship to a local student pursuing college or university in Toronto.
